Canada updates travel advisory in Mexico amid high levels of kidnappings

“There are high premiums of violent criminal offense, such as homicides, kidnappings, carjacking and assaults, together with in common vacationer locations such as the Mayan Riviera (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos and Tulum), and Acapulco,” reads the advisory.

“Inter-gang and cartel combating has taken put in places to eat, lodges and nightclubs frequented by vacationers,” it adds.
